We have a new chapter name this year:
Welcome to
Tri-Cities of TN Chapter of EWGA

Be a volunteer and get up close and personal!

Have you ever wanted to be up close and personal with Women Professional Golfers and be a part of a tournament?
Now is your chance!  The Legends Tour is coming to Hermitage Golf Course and needs YOU to help and volunteer a part of your time!  You can volunteer as little or as much as you want!  I hear they need 300+ volunteers and at this time only have ladies, step up!
Go to and look at this and get familiar.  If you have any questions, Middle TN EWGA's Tina Myers is in charge of taking request and volunteers.
When you ask:  Oct. 7th - 13th, 2013
This is a chance to see some of the greats:  Nancy Lopez, Meg Mallon, Laura Davies, Joann Carner and others up close and personal!
If you have 615-259-9819 ext, 2
you can also sign up online.....
Let's show the LPGA that Tennessee EWGA is there to help out!

NEW!!! Monday Night League Play
The Tri-Cities of TN Chapter is starting a Monday night travel league to provide EWGA members more opportunities to play in the greater Tri-Cities area.  Our first Monday play date is scheduled for 5:30pm on May 20th at Clear Creek Golf Course.  Watch for eVites to come to members by email.

GIRLS know RULEs too!

Welcome to a new weekly feature provided by Marilyn Martin, Chapter Golf Programs and Services Director.

Number of Allowed Clubs
You are only allowed to carry 14 clubs in your bag. This number of clubs includes your putter.  The penalty for carrying more than 14 clubs:
Match Play - Loss of hole - maximum of 2 holes;  Stroke Play - 2 strokes per hole up to a maximum of 2 holes or 4 shots  Don't forget there are such things as practice rounds where you may carry more than 14 clubs and/or hit more than one ball from any position, but do not include such a round in your handicap calculation.  One important thing to remember while participating in a practice round - you must still use good golf etiquette and not hold up golfers behind you. Keep pace with the group in front of you or allow golfers behind you to play through.
